Rich is a black trans-masculine Jamaican who continues to occupy spaces that are deemed unreachable by trans bodies. He is a mobilizer, graphic artist, political activist, and an advocate for marginalized people. Rich is the first openly Transgender Jamaican to announce an interest in political candidacy, and he utilizes his social location as a political leader to increase queer visibility and advance conversations around queer acceptance. He is keen on unearthing a deeper understanding of the value of queer citizens to political movements and the arts. He uses the written word and graphic arts to share my journey and catalog the experiences of himself and people like him who live at the intersection of blackness, transness, and ‘ghetto’ identity in order to claim space and propose new queer futures that are more inclusive
