A Black Transwomen who grew up in Upstate NY. As a teen, she experienced gun violence. She began to organize rallies and marches with other students and organizations. Struggled to come to terms and find her truth, but she allowed herself to embody her unapologetic Black Trans Women. Allowing herself to be in her truth empowered her to speak up, find and use her voice to address issues that impact Black TransWomen. However, her world was rocked once again by gun violence. Pushed her back into the work of standing against gun violence and organizing platforms of her own. She is now organizing nationally to help center the voice of black queer folk. She says “Creating safe space, healing justice, organizing, and facilitating were my mission before I had language for them. My mission is to use them so that generations after me will have a free world.”
